Paano Lutuin Ang Masarap na Macaroni Sopas





Ang sopas na macaroni ay karaniwang inihahanda bilang almusal o meryenda lalo na kapag medyo malamig ang panahon. Madaling lutuin at abot kaya ang halaga ng mga sangkap. Rolled Lasagna



This may be tedious, but I think it is more special and cute if you make it this way, if you will be cooking this for only few people, like today, I prepared this for two persons so I made it this way, no need to cook a lot of noodles just to form layers, with this style its economical. Try it.

Linguine with Garlic and Bacon










Linguine is a form of pasta originated in Genoa and Liguria region of Italy. It is wider than spaghetti, but not larger than fettuccine.  I like linguine more than spaghetti due to its texture and shape, beautiful in my eyes :-). Here is my simple linguine recipe.

Ingredients for 6-8 servings:
500 grams Linguine
1/2 cup toasted garlic
1 cup diced bacon ( cooked until crispy)
2 tablespoons butter



Procedure:
1. Cook the linguine according to its packaging procedure, drain and set aside.

2. In a big wok or pan melt the butter,  put the linguine and stir well until evenly mixed, sprinkle the bacon and garlic then turn off the heat.
3. Put in a serving plate and enjoy.

How to Cook Sotanghon Perfectly

Sotanghon or cellophane noodles are a type of transparent noodle made from the starch of mung bean, cassava or potato starch. It is one of the noodles that I like, that's why  I cooked this for our breakfast today, tastes so good, mmmmm I want more. In cooking this noodles no need to simmer it for a long period of time or else it will be gooey.

Chicken Macaroni Soup


Since it is cold in my place today, I made this, so that I can have a good sip of a hot creamy soup. Mmmmmmmmm muito deliciosa according to my Portuguese friend, which means very delicious. :-) I know they are not biased. Seriously , it is really yummy, so try this recipe if you have time.


Ingredients:
1/4 kilo macaroni
1/4 kilo chicken ( slice into small pieces)
3 cloves garlic
1 small size onion
1 cup evaporated milk
1 small carrot
1/4 kilo cabbage
salt and pepper to taste
spring onion for garnishing


Procedure:
1. Saute garlic and onion then add the chicken, salt and pepper,  simmer for few minutes.
2. Add the macaroni and saute for a minute, then add water that is enough to soup the macaroni until the cooking is done.
3. Stir occasionally  so that the macaroni will not stick at the bottom of the pot.
4. When it is almost done, add the carrot and cabbage
5. Add the milk let it boil once and turn off the heat.


6. Serve it hot and sprinkled with minced spring onion

Tortiglioni with Bacon

Tortiglioni is a short tube kind of pasta that has a good texture that's why I like it. This is good also with tomato sauce but I cooked it this way because my friends want to replace the rice with this, only light in taste to go perfectly with our viands.


Ingredients for 6 Servings:
1/2 kilo tortiglioni
1/4 kilo bacon (sliced)
3 cloves garlic finely minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste


Tortiglioni Pasta


Procedure:
1. Cook the tortiglioni according to its packaging procedure then set aside.
2. Heat the pan and put the bacon stir until the natural oil comes out, then continue cooking until crispy, remove from oil and put in a paper towel to remove excess oil.
3. Heat the olive oil, add the garlic and stir until light brown, add the tortiglioni and bacon then mix well, sprinkle with salt and pepper then stir and turn off the heat.
4. Serve hot with a smile :-).

Chicken Spaghetti


I cooked this to add to my spaghetti recipe collection, it tastes so good, try it.

Ingredients for 6 Servings:
1/2 kilo Spaghetti ( cooked according to its packaging procedure)
400 grams chicken breast ( boiled and shredded)
370 grams tomato sauce
3 cloves garlic ( minced)
1 onion (minced)
1 1/2 cup ketchup
1 cup evaporated milk
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup grated cheese
salt and pepper to taste
extra cheese for toppings


Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic and onion then put the shredded chicken and saute for a minute then add the tomato sauce, ketchup, sugar and soy sauce then simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Add the milk, grated cheese, salt and pepper then simmer until done.



3. Arrange the spaghetti in a platter then top it with the sauce and some cheese then serve with a very BIG smile :-).

Special Bam-i



I cooked this for my sister-in-law's birthday , they said it's yummy.


Ingredienys for 12-15 servings:
1/2 kilo sotanghon (soaked in tap water then cut to your desired length)
1/2 kilo canton
1/2 kilo pork ( sliced )
3 pieces Chorizo ( sliced)
 1 onion (minced)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 kilo cabbage ( stips)
2 carrots ( Sliced)
1 red bell pepper ( sliced)
1 cup sliced squid balls
1 cup chicharo
1 cup sliced Baguio beans or green beans
5 cups water
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 dozen quail's egg ( cooked and de-shelled)
salt and pepper to taste


Procedure:
1. Saute garlic and onion then add the pork and continue to saute until the pinkish color is gone. Then add the soy sauce and simmer for a minute, add the water and bring to a boil, allow to boil for 5 minutes.
2. Add the carrots, Baguio beans and sotanghon and simmer for a minute then add all ingredients except for quails egg, Mix well and simmer until cooked.
3. Serve it hot and put some quail's egg.

Pancit Malasado


A simple noodle dish that's really delicious, twisted between pancit guisado and pancit sinabawan with just half cooked pancit and veggies that's why I called this malasado. Try this and let me know.

Ingredients for 4-6 servings:
1/2 kilo pancit or egg noodles ( washed and drained)
1/4 kilo pork
2 1/2 cups water 
1 cup broccoli
1 small piece bell pepper
1/4 kilo cabbage
1  carrot
1/2 slices of ham ( optional)
4 tablespoons soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure
1. Saute the garlic and onion then add the meat, stir well until the pinkish color is gone.
2. Add the soy sauce and simmer for 30 seconds then add the water and bring to a boil.
3. When the water is boiling increase the heat to high and put all the ingredients then simmer for 1 minute and turn off the heat. Enjoy your pancit malasado.

Bihon with Tuna Chunks

A delicious combination of rice noodles and tuna, loaded with vegetables making the dish super nutritious.

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo bihon
3 cloves garlic
1 small onion
1 can tuna (chunks)
6 cups water
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
salt to taste
1 cup cleaned cauliflower
5 pieces green beans ( sliced diagonally)
3 cabbage leaves ( sliced diagonally)
1 carrot( Sliced into strips)


Procedure:

1. Saute the garlic and onion then add the tuna and simmer for 2 minutes.
2. Add water, ground pepper and salt to taste,  then simmer and add all the vegetables then simmer for 30 seconds.
3. Add the bihon and give a good stir, simmer and stir until cooked.
4. Serve it hot.
