Beef with Mixed Veggies

A unique blend of taste from mixed vegetables, while cooking this I remember the movie “When East Meets West” because of the vegetable combination, bittermelon or ampalaya is always associated with oriental cooking and the carrots and mushrooms is the opposite. You must try this recipe and I am sure that you will like the result. This dish is really delicious!

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo beef ( cut into strips, boiled and tenderized)
1 piece bitter melon ( ampalaya)
2 medium size carrots ( sliced)
1 cup button mushrooms ( sliced)
1 onion
4 cloves garlic
3 tablespoons oyster sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic and onion, add the pre-cooked beef and simmer for few minutes.
2. Add the carrots and simmer for 2 minutes then add the ampalaya and mushrooms and simmer again for another 2 minutes.
3. Add ground pepper and oyster sauce simmer until done, add salt if neccesary.
4. Serve hot.
