Bam-i

A touch of Chinese cuisine, but Bam-i is a Visayan dish , its a version of pancit-bihon in Luzon. It is one of my favorite dishes when it comes to noodles. I like the combination of these noodles, both are smooth and firm. In the places that I've visited, most of the time fresh egg noodles( pancit) is not always available as well as bee-hon ( bihon) so this is my version of this recipe.

Ingredients:
2 packs instant noodles ( cooked without the flavoring)
100 grams vermicelli noodles ( sotanghon)
3 cloves garlic
1 pc small onion
1 pc carrot ( strips)
1 small chuchu or sayote ( strips)
1/2 kilo cabbage
4 tablespoons soy sauce
3 pieces chicken hotdog
1 glass water

(vermicelli)Sotanghon
Procedure:
1. Saute onion and garlic
2. Add the sliced hotdog, pour in the soy sauce simmer for a minute.
3. Add the water and let it boil.
4. Put the vermicelli cover for few minutes
5. Put the carrots and chuchu simmer for 2 minutes ( just add water if necessary)
6. Put the cabbage and the cooked instant noodles mix it well.
7. Serve it hot and sprinkle it with spring onion.

Hotdog Sandwich

Hotdog sandwich is one of the famous snacks around the world, although it is not certain where it originally got its name, but as early as 13th century in Germany there is a sandwich similar to hotdog sandwich, they used frankfurter  sausages and put it in a bun and give to people during imperial coronations and soon it became well known allover the world, the proof is wherever we are it can be available in a snack counter. Wherever it originated, I am glad that I knew how to do it because it is very easy  and I do it in my own style, here is one of the recipe of hotdog sandwich that I wanna share.

Ingredients:
1 hotdog sandwich bun
1 hotdog
1 tablespoon mayonaise
1 teaspoon ketchup
1 tablespoon corn
1 1/2 tablespoon of potato fries (Piknik)

Procedure:
1. Slice the bun
2. Mix the ketchup and mayonaise,  spread it on the bun

Nilagang Baka

Nilagang baka ( beef stew)= for me, this is the easiest way of cooking beef. Stewing in Asia is different from other continents. Stewing specially in Philippines uses only plain water or rice washing without putting any soup thickening ingredient like tomato sauce in some other countries. Simple and easy to prepare but the savor will surely satisfy your hunger.

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo beef
1/4 kilo Chinese cabbage or pak choi
1 small size onion
a pinch of whole black pepper
8 glasses rice washing ( add water if necessary)
thumb size ginger
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. In a pot put the rice washing, ginger, onion, and black pepper then bring it to a boil.
2. Put the beef and simmer until the meat is tender.
3.  Increase the heat to high then add the Chinese cabbage, salt and pepper to taste and  simmer for 2 minute.
4. Serve it hot.

Just that, so I made a sauce to go with it and my own appetizer( will be posting it as another recipe).

2. Mix the all purpose cream and water, dash it with salt and pepper
3. Pour over the fish and sprinkle it with oregano flakes.
4. Serve with your favorite side dish.

It is creamy delicious! I will have it again soon. Yummy!
