Chayote with tuna

The word chayote is a Spanish derivative of the Nahuatl word chayohtli, but this  vegetable is originally native to Mexico and has been introduced worldwide. Costa Rica is the number one exporter of chayote to European union while Veracrus (located in Eastern Mexico) is the main exporter of chayote to United States.
When I was in Bangkok, Thailand it's not only the fruit of chayote that's eaten but as well as the leaves and stems, if I have a chance I will post that recipe here. But for now here is a chayote dish that I wanna share.
Ingredients:
2 chayote or chuchu (sayote)
1 can tuna
1 small size onion

Procedure:
1. Saute the onion add the tuna simmer for a minute
2. Add the chayote then simmer until it is cooked
3. Serve it hot and with rice.

Simple Pancake

According to the article that I've read about pancakes"archaeological evidence suggests that varieties of pancakes are probably the earliest and most widespread types of cereal food eaten in prehistoric societies whereby dry carbohydrate-rich seed flours mixed with the available protein-rich liquids, usually milk and eggs, were baked on hot stones or in shallow earthenware pots over an open fire to form a nutritious and highly palatable foodstuff"
A well known breakfast in most countries all over the world , pancake is very easy to make, although there are different varieties of making it, with milk, without milk, with different fillings, etc. But the one that I am going to share is a simple and easy one. It is really delicious.

Ingredients:
1cup flour
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg ( beaten)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine ( melted)

Procedure:
1. In a big bowl sift (salain) together the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder
2. Then make a well or space at the center and put the beaten egg, milk and melted butter.
3. Mix it thoroughly until  smooth or firm.
4. Heat a butter or a little oil and spoon a portion of the pancake mixture and cook until both sides are brown.
5. Serve hot with pancake syrup or your favorite fruits.

I love you

The message in the picture was made with gummy candies. I was surprised when I recieved this from a friend (if that friend is a woman or a man, I wont tell hahahhahahahaha). But I appreciate the message and it is very lovely, since it is food, I want to share it to all of you.
Bottom line is .... we can be creative with the foods we eat.
