Fried Tilapia Fillet


Today I cooked fried tilapia fillet for my hubby and he likes it so much. I served it with boiled sweet corn because he said he will not eat rice for dinner, then I stir fried bean sprouts and mushrooms, oh so yummy!

Ingredients:

1 big tilapia (fish)
1 teaspoon lemon or calamansi juice
3 tablespoons oil
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Clean the Tilapia then fillet it.
2. Sprinkle with lemon or calamsi juie, then season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
3. In a pan heat the oil then fry the Tilapia on both sides according to the doneness that you like.
4. Serve with your favorite food.

Fried Wingette

Wingette is the middle section of the chicken wings and this is my favorite part!

Ingredients:
 1 kilo wingette
1/2 cup flour
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Season the wingette with salt and pepper.
2. Roll over the flour then deep fry until done.
3.Serve and enjoy.

Sardines with Mushrooms

Sometimes when you are in a hurry and no menu planned ahead of time, you just grab what is in the pantry, just like what I did today. We still enjoyed it, satisfying sardines and mushroom dish.

Ingredients:

2 cans sardines
150 grams button mushrooms (sliced)
1 onion (sliced)
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

1. Saute the onion then put the sardines and let it simmer for a minute.
2. Add the mushroom then stir, season with salt and pepper, cook until done.
3. Serve and enjoy.

Baked Pork Chop

My husband suggested this recipe, because I told him if it's okay with him i will prepare fried pork chop for dinner, he said just bake it, healthier that way. So I did, and it is yummy.

Ingredients:

2 pieces pork Chops
1 teaspoon lemon or lime juice
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

1. Season the pork chop with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
2. Preheat the oven at 230C for 10 minutes.
3. Baked the pork chop for 15 minutes or until done.
4. Serve and enjoy.

Cooking time for pork chop depends upon the thickness of each piece.

How To Cook Asparagus


Asparagus is one of the yummiest vegetables and it is also very easy to cook. It needs only 2 minutes to cook it. Crispy and juicy. Yummy!

Ingredients for 2 servings:

1 bunch asparagus
1 tablespoon butter
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

1. Heat the butter then put the asparagus, cook in a medium heat for 2 minutes and season with salt and pepper,  stirring constantly until done.
2. Serve it hot.

Wheat Berry and Cherry Tomato Salad



Wheat berry or wheatberry is the whole grain form of wheat, this is not yet refined, so it means this is intact with all the nutrients compared to the refined one. I like the chewy texture and the nutty  taste of wheat berry.

Ingredients:

2 cups wheat berry 
6 cups water (add if needed)
2 cups cherry tomato
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoon olive oil (extra virgin)
1/2 cup chopped parsley
salt and pepper to taste


Procedure:

1. Put the water and wheat berry in a pot then boil until tender. Drain and let cool.
2. Put the cooked wheat in a mixing bowl, then add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
3. Serve and enjoy with your favorite fried or grilled meat.

Cabbage Salad

Easy to make salad but very nutritious.


Ingredients:

1 cup shredded purple cabbage
1 cup shredded green cabbage
2 Tomato (sliced)
1 tablespoon (chopped Parsley)
2 tablespoons olive oil 
2 tablespoons lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

1. Combine all the ingredients and season well with salt and pepper.
2. Serve and enjoy.
