I do not have plan to prepare this Japanese delicacy but the salmon that I bought from the market was so fresh, so I decided to prepare sashimi for my blog. Surprisingly my friends loved it. I thought they will not like it because it is their first time to taste sashimi, now I have a problem because they want more. :D
Ingredient:
fresh salmon
2 cloves garlic
spring onion
1 tablespoon lime juice or calamansi
2 tablespoons soy sauce
wasabi
Procedure:
1. Slice the salmon thinly, then arrange properly on the platter.
2.Crushed the garlic and minced it then combine with all the ingredients to make a delicious dipping sauce.
3. When everything is ready, serve it.

Chocolate Ice Drop
Summer is here and the heat is on, so it's time to cool myself with this delicious chocolate ice drops, yummy! Do not worry it is just 60 calories each serving. So treat yourself now :).
Ingredient:
2 cups water
4 tablespoons sweetened chocolate powder
2 tablespoons powdered milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon corn starch ( to make the ice soft)
Procedure:
1. Disolve the cornstarch in 2 cups water then let it boil for 3 minutes or until cooked over medium heat.
2. Turn off the heat then add the rest of the ingredients and mix well untill all are dissolved.
3. Let cool and put in the ice drop molders, cover and put in the freezer.
4. Serve when it is already frozen.
Okra with Tuna
I cooked this the other day, and I was surprise with the result, I loved it a lot, that is why I wanna share it to all of you. Here is the recipe for it.
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo okra (sliced into halves)
1 can tuna
3 cloves garlic
salt and pepper to taste
some chili (optional)

Procedure:
1. Boil the okra until half cooked, then drain and set aside.
2. Saute the garlic then add the canned tuna and simmer for a minute.
3. Add the okra and the rest of the ingredients then simmer until cooked.
4. Serve it hot.

Lugaw, Tokwa't Baboy
Lugaw, tokwa't baboy is a popular dish in Luzon region of Philippines. I love this dish specially during rainy season, helps you stay warm :)
Ingredients:
1.5 cups rice1 clove garlic ( minced and toasted)
1/4 cup ginger stips
3 stalks spring onions
salt and pepper to taste
fish sauce( patis=optional)
1 cup fried tokwa ( diced) "tokwa"
1 cup pork's ear (strips) "baboy"
1 litre of water
ground pepper

Procedure for Lugaw:
1. Saute the ginger until brownish then add the rice and saute it together with fish sauce, salt and pepper3. Continue simmering until the rice is so tender making the porridge thick in texture.
4. Serve it hot with tokwa't baboy, spring onion, ground pepper and toasted garlic.

Ampalaya with Tofu
All my favorite ingredients in one healthy dish, absolutely yummy! The light taste of tofu infused well with the bitterness of the bitter melon making the taste appealing plus the smell of the bell pepper will tickle your appetite :D. Try this recipe.
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo bittermelon (ampalaya)
3 squares tofu or tokwa ( cubed and fried)
2 eggs (beaten)
3 cloves garlic
diced bell pepper
salt to taste

Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic then add the ampalaya simmer and stir occasionally until half cooked.
2. Increase the heat then stir in the beaten eggs, mix well until it coats the ampalaya then add the bell pepper, fried tofu and salt to taste.
3. Simmer until done then serve. :)

Breaded Pork Chop
One of my favorite pork chop dishes during my younger years, just reminiscing how my Nana cooked this for my "baon". Simple but delicious.
Ingredients:
3 pork chops2 teaspoon soy sauce
1 lime or 3 calamansi
1/2 teaspoon pork powder
1 beaten egg
1 cup bread crumbs
Procedure:
1. Marinate the pork chop with the soy sauce, lime juice and pork powder for 15 minutes.2. After 15 minutes remove the pork chop from marinating sauce then put in the beaten egg and roll over the bread crumbs, then deep fry until done.
3. Serve it hot.

Boombastic Chicken Wings Adobo
Do you want to experience some food adventure? Well, try this boombastic chicken wings adobo. You will bite it with excitement and feel the hotness when you swallow it. :D
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo chicken wings
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
5 cloves garlic
1/4 teaspoon crushed peppercorn (pamintang durog)
1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic
2. Add the chicken wings then simmer for few minutes.
3. Add the soy sauce then cover it and simmer, until the chicken meat darkens with the soy sauce. Mix it well
4. Put the rest of the ingredients, cover well, and simmer for few minutes
5. Stirring occasionally until it is done.
6. Serve with rice.

Sauted Calabash (Ginisang Upo)
A calabash or bottle gourd is one of the most favorite vegetables in India and it has lots of health benefits. Filipinos called it "upo" when I was young my mom loved cooking it fresh from our garden she sauteed it with soy sauce making it looked brownish. If you can notice if I stir fried and sauted vegetables I want to maintain the natural color of the veggies that is why I do not put soy sauce, like this sauteed bottled gourd or "ginisang upo" it has its natural color and I loved it this way. :)
Ingredients:
1 kilo bottle gourd ( upo) peeled and cut to your desired size
some red and green bell pepper ( cut into strips)
1/4 kilo ground pork or beef
3 cloves garlic
spring onion for garnishing
salt and pepper to taste
Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic then add the ground meat then simmer until it is cooked.
2. Add the sliced bottle gourd and saute until almost done.

Stir Fried Bitter Melon
This is one of my favorite vegetables, bitter melon or ampalaya because it has a unique bitter taste that will make you want it more as you chew it. I tried making this stir fried ampalaya and put oyster sauce on it and I liked the taste. Try it.
Ingredients:
2 bitter melon (amplaya) cut into your desired thickness
1 onion cut into rings
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1/2 cup water

1. Saute the onion then add the water and let it boil.
2. Increase the heat then stir in the bitter melon, and oyster sauce.
3. Keep on stir frying until done.
4. Serve it hot and do not forget to smile :)

Ginataang Talbos ng Kamote
A delicious and nutritious sweet potato tops dish, or talbos ng kamote in Tagalog, the flavor of the fried dried fish and the coconut milk goes well perfectly making the dish tasty! Get your plate now and let us eat this delicious dish :).
Ingredients:
some fried dried fish
talbos ng kamote
onion
2 cups light coconut milk ( ikalawang gata)
1 cup pure coconut milk ( kakang gata)
1 teaspoon ginger strips
Procedure:
1. Combine together the dried fish, onion , ginger, and coconut milk then bring to boil.
2. Once boiling add the talbos ng kamote then simmer until cooked, then pour in the pure coconut milk, let it boil once then turn off the heat.
3. Serve it with rice:). Enjoy your food.
