Grilled Pork Chop


I cooked this for my friend's lunch, I am grilling fish for myself  when she arrived so I invited her to eat lunch with me. Simple but nice food partnered with vegetable salad which both of us enjoyed.

Ingredients:
1 pork chop
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon lime juice or calamansi juice
dash of pepper

Procedure:
1. Marinate the pork chop with soy sauce, lime juice and pepper.


2. Then grill it , brush with marinating sauce every now and then until the cooking is done.
3. Serve it hot.

Chilli Cookies




Chilli Cookies! Strange? Maybe to some of you it's strange because that's my first thought of it, but actually when you eat it, it is amazingly yummy because the butter and sugar neutralized the chilli flavor. Try this recipe and see it for yourself.

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup butter ( melted)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon  chilli  powder
2 chopped cayenne pepper (siling haba) for toppings

Procedure:
1. Sift all the dry ingredients except for the chopped chilli.
2. Combine the dry ingredients and butter, then mix well using your hands.
3. Continue mixing until you form a ball of dough, then spoon a portion and top it with chopped chilli, then arrange in a greased baking tray.
4. Preheat the oven to 170 degree Celcius then bake the cookies for 10 minutes or until done.

Beetroot Juice


A refreshing glass of beetroot to give you energy because beetroot is  an excellent source of calcium, magnesium, copper, phosphorus, sodium and iron so make a glass of juice now. Just 1 and a half of big size of this is enough to make a glass of juice.

Wash properly and slice to fit in the rim of the juicer. Then extract the juice.

Serve it.

Salada Delicia







I've got the idea of this recipe from a Portuguese friend. It is a delicious combination ingredients but of all the items in the plate I liked the avocado the most! Delicious!!

Ingredients:
 half of an avocado
2 tomatoes
1 cucumber
2 cups watercress






 Procedure:
1. Wash well all the ingredients before slicing it.
2. Arrange well in a serving dish
3. Sprinkle with your favorite  salad dressing and serve.









Monggo with Fried Fish




Mung bean or monggo is one of my favorite kind of beans, I really like its natural taste that blends well with other vegetables. This beans is high in protein and is good for digestion. I did not saute this, to avoid oil. Here is my ingredients and how I cooked this.

Ingredients:
2 cups monggo
2 cups squash
2 cups talbos ng camote ( or any green leafy vegetables)
1 cup sliced eggplant
1 onion
2 slice fried fish
water ( enough to cook the monggo)
salt to taste




Monggo


Procedure:
1. Boil the Monggo until tender, then add the onion, salt and fried fish let simmer for 3 minutes over medium heat. ( I did not saute to avoid too much oil)
2. Add the squash and simmer for 3 minutes, then add the eggplant and simmer for 2 minutes.
3. Add the talbos ng camote and simmer until done.
4. Serve it hot.

Sauted Pechay


 Red, white and green is the color of the day :-) I went to the market and chose these ingredients, simple and easy to make yet yummy and nutritious. I just saute this and here is how I cooked this.

Ingredients:
200 grams Chinese Bok Choy or pechay
3 cayenne pepper or siling haba ( sliced)
3 tablespoons soy sauce
4 cloves garlic ( crushed)


Chinese Bok choy
Procedure:
1. Brown the garlic then add the Chinese Bok choy and saute until soften, do not put water because it has its natural water.
2. Add the soy sauce and chili then simmer until done.
3. Serve it hot.

If you do not like it hot just remove the chili from the ingredients.

Special Eggplant Salad



Mmmmm this is one of my favorite vegetables, this one is extra yummy because I put  fish paste ( bagoong) in it. I partnered it with grilled tilapia and pork, perfect!

Ingredients:
1 Big eggplant
2 tomatoes
1 onion
1 lime
2 tablespoons fish paste-bagoong- (you can replace with salt)
chillis




Procedure:
1. Grilled the eggplant then remove the skin.
2. Dice the tomatoes and onion then mix all the ingredients.
3. Serve it.

Sauted Green Papaya and Bell Pepper

I cooked something new in our kitchen today, by using green papaya combined with green bell pepper and it turned it fine so here is the recipe for it. I hope all of you will like it. Have fun cooking:-)

Ingredients:
1 unripe papaya
1 onion
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 Tablespoons oil


Procedure:
1.  Peel the papaya and remove the seeds
2. Slice it into strips or batonnet.
3. Heat the oil then saute the onion.
4. Add the papaya and ground pepper, simmer for a minute, then add the soy sauce and simmer until the papaya soften.
5. Add the bell pepper and simmer until done.
6. Serve it hot.

Quickmelt Cheese Bread


I made this bread when I spent time with my friends in the church, while we were talking we are munching this cheesy and creamy bread which according to them is yummy. I think they are not bias in saying that :-).

Ingredients:
5 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup melted butter
3/4 cup fresh milk or whole milk (warm)
3 teaspoons yeast
3 eggs 
1 quickmelt cheese ( Kraft Eden Cheese)




Procedure:
1. Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk for 10 minutes ( put the yeast and leave it for 10 minutes then mix)
2. Mix all the dry ingredients, make a well in the middle, then crack the eggs and beat it there.
3. Add the butter and the milk with dissolved yeast.

4. Mix well, then knead until  the dough is formed, put it in the container or big bowl and let it rise for 2 hours by covering it with a damp cloth.

5. After 2 hours we are now ready to use the dough but we need to knead it again before using, then slice into 1 serving portions.

Cubed Cheese
6. Wrap each cheese with the sliced dough then after wrapping all the cheese let it rice for 45 minutes.
7. After 45 minutes bake it in a preheated oven for 15 or until done at 180 degrees celcius.
8. Serve it hot. :-)

Supreme Salad

This salad is for the whole family or during parties this can be a good table centerpiece. You can add more ingredients if you want. Make it as attractive as you can .:-)

Ingredients:
1 head iceberg lettuce ( 150 grams)
1 can corn kernel ( drained)
2 shredded carrots
1 cup blue berries

For salad dressing :
1 lemon
1/4 cup olive oil
salt to taste
 Combine all the dressing ingredients and set aside.


Procedure:
1. In a big serving dish arrange all the ingredients properly.
2. Garnish it with the salad dressing.

You can use your own salad dressing, there are ready to use that we can buy at the market.
