Hot and Spicy Squid Adobo

Squid adobo is yummier when it is hot and spicy, so I cooked some today to satisfy my craving for this dish.

Ingredients for 6-8 servings:
1 kilo squid ( cleaned and ink set aside)
1 onion (diced)
3 cloves garlic ( minced)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
3 chili pepper ( labuyo)
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
2 bay leaves/laurel
salt if needed

1. Saute the garlic and onion then add the ink and continue to saute for few seconds then increase the heat and add the squid and give it a good stir.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well then simmer for 4 minutes over high heat then turn off the heat.
3. Serve it hot with rice.


  1. hi po... tanong ko lang kung paano po tinatanggal ang ink ng pusit? salamat

  2. huhugutin mo po ang ulo ng pusit, paghugot mo po kasamang mahuhugot ang bahagi sa loob ng pusit kung saan nakakabit ang ink, then remove it carefully, actually may ipopost akong step by step paano di ko pa lang nagawa, pagsikapan ko pong magawa today.

  3. salamat... hintayin ko yung post nyo ng paano pagtanggal ng ink sa squid.
