How To Cook Asparagus


Asparagus is one of the yummiest vegetables and it is also very easy to cook. It needs only 2 minutes to cook it. Crispy and juicy. Yummy!

Ingredients for 2 servings:

1 bunch asparagus
1 tablespoon butter
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

1. Heat the butter then put the asparagus, cook in a medium heat for 2 minutes and season with salt and pepper,  stirring constantly until done.
2. Serve it hot.

Monggo with Sotanghoon


Monggo with sotanghon  is a delicious combination of vegetable and cellophane noodles.


Ingredients:
1/4 kilo Mung bean ( monggo)
1/4 kilo shrimps ( you can replace this with fish, pork, etc)
1 cup cubed squash
1 cup sotanghon
4 stalks spring onion ( slice to your desired length)
3 cloves garlic
pork scratchings ( chicharon) optional



Procedure:


1. In a pot boil the monggo until it is soft, then set aside (You can use pressure cooker for faster cooking)
2. In a pan saute the garlic, then add the shrimps
3. Add the squash to saute for a while, then add the cooked monggo, simmer for  few minutes until it is soft.
4. Add the cellophane noodles or sotanghon, simmer until it is done.
5. Turn off the heat and put the pork scratchings (chicharon) and spring onion
6. Serve it hot. :-) Enjoy your food : )

Sauteed Corn and Spinach



The fresh juicy corn is very delicious to prepare for this dish, mmmmm creamy soup that is perfect to sip during rainy days, combined with fresh spinach that adds freshness to the taste of this delicious vegetable dish.

Ingredients:
2 corn
2 cups spinach ( can be replaced with any green leafy vegetable)
1 onion
1 cup fried fish ( chunks)
salt and pepper to taste 


Procedure:
1. Slice the corn thinly then set aside.

2. Saute the onion, then add the fish.
3. Add the corn and simmer for 2 minutes then add water that's enough to make the corn tender.



4. When the corn is tender add the spinach , salt and pepper to taste, simmer until the spinach is cooked then turn off the heat.



5. Serve it  hot and do not forget to smile :-)

Masarap Na Ginisang Pechay

Ang pechat is isa sa mga pinakacommon na gulay sa Pilipinas. Maraming mga potahe na pwedeng ilagay ang pechay lalo na sa mga may sabaw. Pero masarap din itong igisa tulad nitong niluto ko na madali lang gawin pero masarap.

Mga Sangkap:
1 kilo pechay
1 butil ng bawang (dinikdik)
1 sibuyas(hiniwa ng pino)
2 kutsarang mantika
100g giniling na baboy
250g hipon
asin ayon sa iyong panglasa



Paraan ng pagluluto
1. Igisa ang sibuyas at bawang, saka ilagay ang giniling, sangkutsahing maigi, ilagay ang hipon at haluin, kapag  medyo luto na ang hipon lakasan ang apoy at ilagay ang pechay.
2. Lagyan ng asin ayon sa iyong panglasa, haluin hanggang sa maluto.
3. Hanguin at ihain.

Mixed Mushrooms with Oyster Sauce

I love mushrooms so much, yes, SO MUCH :-). I could eat it everyday.  I cooked this for our dinner and my husband liked it. Mushrooms has a natural taste that's why I only used oyster sauce to enhance the flavor.

Ingredients for 2 servings:
250 grams mixed mushrooms
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1/2 cup sliced spring onion
2 cloves garlic (minced)






Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic then add the mushrooms and oyster sauce then stir and continue sauteeing until done.
2. Add spring onion and turn off the heat.
3. Serve and enjoy.

Brazilian Collard Green with Bacon ( Couve a Miniera com Bacon)


I love this Brazilian collard green because this is very easy to prepare, we can eat it raw or cooked. Here is a simple to follow recipe .

Ingredients:
3 bunches Brazilian collard 
150 grams bacon ( diced)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Slice the collard then set aside.

2. Heat the pan then put the bacon until natural oil comes out, stir until golden brown then add the garlic and stir until lightly brown.
3. Add the sliced collard then stir quickly, add salt and pepper to taste then stir for a second and turn off the heat.
4. Put in a serving dish and  serve with a smile :-).

Asparagus with Chili Flakes

Asparagus is very easy and quick to cook, even with just simple seasoning it already tastes good, I added chili flakes to give it a kick :-). Try it.

Ingredients:
1 bundle asparagus ( cleaned)
2 tablespoons olive oil or any cooking oil
1 clove garlic (minced)
salt and pepper to taste
chili flakes according to your taste

Procedure:
1. Heat the oil then put the garlic, stir until a little brown then add the asparagus and stir for a minute.
2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste, remove from heat and put in a serving dish.
3. After removing the asparugus put some chili flakes in the pan and stir for few seconds then top it to the asparagus then serve with  smile :-).
